10:30–11:45 a.m.
Guest Artist Lecture / Demo: Danilo Cabaluz (Broadcasting from Santiago de Chile: “The Latin American Tradition: Introduction to basic popular Latin styles”). Lecture demo and live performances on cuatro, charango and classical guitar; Questions/comments submitted by festival participants via “chat “will be addressed during and after the presentation.

12–1 p.m.
Lunch break

Guest Artist Lecture/ Demo 2: Maarten Stragier (Broadcasting from Brussels, Belgium: “Contemporary styles, extended techniques inclassic guitar: An introduction to cutting edge new music composers, vocabulary and techniques”.) Lecture demo with Q and A options as above.

2:30–4:15 p.m.
Special Master class: Professor Bruce Holzman (Broadcasting from Tallahassee, Fla.) The legendary guitar guru will teach two private lessons to two festival participants chosen by video audition from previously submitted videos. Short Q and A at the conclusion of the final lesson.

4:30–6 p.m.
Guest Artist Lecture / Demo: Early music legend, Nigel North (Broadcasting from Bloomington, Indiana: An introduction to figured bass (basso continuo) realization on plucked instruments.) Prof. North will explain basic principals of figured bass realization and demonstrate on a variety of baroque instruments (theorbo, lute, guitars) Short Q and A to follow.
